Mr. Daniel Hodge called the special meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

A motion to suspend the reading of the minutes from the March 5, 2020 regular meeting was made by Mr. Blake Meier and seconded by Mr. Joseph Rabatin with Mr. Blake Meier concurring.

Mr. Daniel  Hodge asked Chief Zimmerman what he proposed to do to deal with the COVID 19 outbreak.  Chief Zimmerman informed the Board he had secured 195 masks, and that Mast Lepley was down to two masks.  Chief Zimmerman further informed the  Board he has 200 gowns on order through Bound Tree and they are saying a 12 week lead time, but they did have arm sleeves in stock so he ordered some of those.  Chief Zimmerman stated he bought five cases of safety glasses/goggles and has been disinfecting them to reuse.

Chief Zimmerman informed the Board they held a teleconference Officers meeting Sunday evening and to minimize exposure to the volunteer who have outside jobs and could not risk a 14 day quarantine he was suggesting to man the station 24 hours a day 7 days a week with himself, and two other department members and whoever is not on the 24 hour shift would work out between the two not on shift who would respond for the second person on calls for that day.  Chief Zimmerman informed the Board he had closed the Station to everyone but those three individuals.  The Association will pickup the cost for the shifts worked, however, a review of our 2020 contract with the Association would probably need to be done.  Chief Zimmerman stated they would still need to rely on the volunteers in the case of a fire, extra manpower for lifting, or a second squad call.  Chief Zimmerman stated that this is just temporary until the COVID 19 epidemic passes.

A motion to allow Chief Zimmerman and Mr. Dave Compston to work 24-hour shifts was made by Mr. Blake Meir and seconded by Mr. Joseph Rabatin with Mr. Daniel Hodge concurring.

A motion to hold the April 2, 2020 meeting at the Township Garage was made by Mr. Joseph Rabatin and seconded by Mr. Daniel Hodge with Mr. Blake Meier concurring.

A motion to adjourn at 8:31 pm was made by Mr. Joseph Rabatin and seconded by Mr. Blake Meier.
